Some Vogon Poetry

I’m a fan of the late, great Douglas Adams. It’s amazing to me that he passed away sixteen years ago (although his Web site looks like it hasn’t changed since then).

Among all of his creations, perhaps the best is Vogon poetry, the absolute worst poetry in the entire universe.

Here’s my attempt at some Vogon-quality poetry.

Ode to Beauty and Joy

See, see the desperate sky
Marvel at its big chartruese depths.
Tell me, Larry do you
Wonder why the ferret ignores you?
Why its foobly stare
makes you feel tired.
I can tell you, it is
Worried by your Farglesnarg facial growth
That looks like
A milk
What’s more, it knows
Your anal potting shed
Smells of snot.
Everything under the big desperate sky
Asks why, why do I even bother?
You only charm old meat.
